Blowfish Encryption

Blowfish is a symmetric block cipher that is freely available in the public domain and uses a key from 32 bits to 228 bits and was first implemented in 1993.  It has been demonstrated that there is NO EFFECTIVE algorithm to recover the information that is blowfish encrypted other than a BRUTE FORCE which involves trying a bit sequence one after the other.

In 2000 a 40 bit blowfish encryption was recovered using an array of 16 desktop computers in a little over a week.  Based on how the algorithm works a 41 bit array would take twice as long and a 42 bit array twice as long again.  So plan on something like 1200 to 1500 years for a 56 bit key.

If you do the math you will find that you will have won the lottery 3 or 4 times over before it will be possible to break the key.

IF YOU LOSE THE ENCRYPTION KEY YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DATA BACK

Amazon S3 Cloud Storage

Amazon S3 is a highly durable storage infrastructure designed for mission-critical and primary data storage. Objects are redundantly stored on multiple servers located at multiple facilities.

The durability of your data (the possibility of losing data) is rated 99.999999999%. This means that there is one chance in 100 billion that your data will be corrupted and cannot be recovered.

The availability of your data (the chance that you cannot access it when you want it) is rated at 99.99% which means that you might not be able to access your data due to planned maintenance, internet problems or other problems for as much as 1 hour per year.

ITBack in conjunction with Amazon and Blowfish encryption offers you an exceptional storage and backup platform for your critical data.
